The Tilt/Tunnel style trap is a square section plastic box, angled to act as a counterbalance. The end of the trap is baited with mouse attracting food such as peanuts or chocolate. The trap door is opened and placed parallel to a 'mouse run' such as skirting boards. Once the mouse enters the trap it tilts and the door closes and locks behind him.

How it works, setting etc

How the trap works:
The mouse enters the tunnel having been attracted by the smell of the bait. With the trap door open and the trap placed parallel to a 'mouse run' such as a skirting board. Once the mouse enters the trap it tips and the door closes and locks behind him, caught without the possibility of escape.

Setting the trap:
Simply remove the yellow end cap and bait the trap. We recommend either peanut butter, chocolate, sunflower seeds, cake or Mouse attractant gel as the most effective baits. There is one entry point on this trap, it should be positioned alongside a wall where mice are known to be active, or where droppings and smells have been found.

Releasing the mouse:
Now it's time to go for a walk or a drive and be kind to your little furry friend/friends and find a safe place to release him/them. A bush area is ideal. We would recommend at least one km away from your house so the mouse can't find it's way back.
Unlatch the door and the Mouse should run straight out, kids love to see it.  YOU NEVER NEED TO TOUCH THE MOUSE

A final thought .......

In severely affected areas, use more than one trap as mice live in groups and traps placed at 2-3 metre intervals will ensure the maximum catch and protection of your home or business.
